1.  Presentation

TVDESTROY is a microelectronic module that generates audio and video­ content. This content can be modified or directly controlled with a regular universal remote. The module can be connected to any television that accepts RCA plugs.

3.  Hardware

3.1  TVDESTROY 02

TVDESTROY 02 is matte black. The firmware can be changed by replacing the EEPROM. Consult the TVDESTROY 02 manual for more information and downloads.

3.2  TVDESTROY 01

TVDESTROY 01 is green and is not in production anymore. It is used for workshops as it can be reprogrammed with a Serial to USB adapter. You can download the schematic here.

4.  Code

The code resides on an EEPROM and is interpreted by a Propeller chip. Go to the code page to read up on it and download a copy.

5.  Accessories

5.1  Remote control

TVDESTROY works best with the 3-Device Remote from Canadian Tire. Use the following codes:

• TV button : SONY 0128
• DVD button : VCR SONY 0379

5.2  Power adapter

Any 5V to 12V power adapter with a 2.1mm barrel connector can be used to power any version of TVDESTROY.

5.3  Battery power

Any version of TVDESTROY can be powered by a 9V battery with the following components:
